    Default Glock deals?

Hello there everyone. I am currently in the market for a G17C. I was curious as to if anyone knew of a prime dealer that I should be gettin after. Also if anyone happens to own one is the ported barrel more of a + or a - ? As always, any help is appreciated!

Just curious. Why do you thing you need a ported barrel? On a 9mm recoil is a non issue and they are LOUD. If you ever have to shoot one without hearing protection you'll see my point. I'd suggest you try to borrow both versions from someone and shoot them before you buy. Green Mountain Guns always has good prices on Glocks.

If you want to use the pistol for defensive purposes, you also have to consider the potential for increased flash at the top of the pistol. This can affect your vision in reduced light situations.

Personally, if I want less velocity, I'll choose a shorter barrel. If I have to carry the longer pistol, I want as much velocity as possible.

Well I wanted the ported barrel to minimize recoil mainly. I enjoy practicing to put many bullets somewhere in a short amount of time.

The extra 5 or so decibels dont really bother me I always wear protection .

Also - perhaps another idea would be to get a non ported barrel with an extra inch and a half or somewhatnot in addition so I could change around as I please from ported to slightly longer non ported.

This gun would not be a defensive gun (unless necessary of course)... You see I was really drooling for a G20 in 10mm without a ported barrel for defending the home and family.
Although I have never tested myself, I dont think I would be thinking "Oh gee this sure is bright" in a situation where it was in fact necessary to use it away from the range^^

a G17 dont have hardly any recoil as it is, they are very flat shooters. If it was a baby glock I could probably understand it, but not a 17.
Porting adds a bit more than 5db same as a brake on a rifle
and it does loose a bit of velocity.
I would recommend shooting both before commiting.

Or you could just buy a Beretta and get it right the first time  [poke]

    Hello Kyle,

I don't have a G-17c fixed sights in stock but could have one overnighted... PM sent on price.

    Thanks for considering.
