    You can give stuff away
You just can't "hold a raffle" (make people pay for the tickets/game of chance) without going thru the rules.

Colorado has some of the toughest raffle laws in the nation.
nope but they can buy lunch or shoot a different colored clay to get a ticket that might be used in a "random" drawing for some free stuff

honestly its just been wearing me out a bit . i do plan on giving some stuff away but i have no idea on how to word it in such a way that everyone understands that this was meant to be a fun thing , stuff gets cleaned up and we do a little friendly shooting . when its all said and done it would have been nice to be able to do like adults without laws and rules . i was doing my best to present it in more of a family get together and less like some nra function. so what if im willing to put up a beater and some trinkets to have a good time . the raffle idea was so everyone even kids could get some free stuff and feel involved , not just the people who want to compete against each other.sorry but i could not think of a way to give away this stuff and make it fair
i have already been given a bunch grief about giving away a gun and now this too. if you can imagine after a summer of playing garbage man the more grief i get about it the more of a slap in the face it becomes .

it all seemed like a fine idea at one time but not so much now
    sorry just needed to vent

for those that show i might just have some stuff that might just get given away to those that help . ill be there one way or the other

as it was a private function for members only AND a Single given ticket per person AND there is no monetary exchange, the Secretary's laws would not have applied.

i was asking for trash in a bag in exchange for tickets . just because you me and everyone else thinks its ok and everyone benefits from this, im sure there is gonna be someone to come along a slap me with a fine . just as im sure at some point someone is gonna give me grief for not getting a permit to gather as a group or pick up trash .

. the main goal is cleaning up the park and showing people that shooters can gather as a group in a productive manner . it may not be much but if enough people show up we can break up into teams and get the whole park . yep it will take a few hours but when others show up just to shoot they will ether have to wait till we are done or join in . in this action we make an impact in a few ways .
sorry here is the short answer
yes you can shoot in the informal shooting match but you wont get doodley squat fer it , just a pat on the back and bragging rights

I understood why he mentioned it and its valid but the biggest factor is I think it was brought up because he doesn't want another member getting in a jam because of a club event.

Besides we all know you work your ass of at these sites to keep them clean and this is a good way to get others to do so as well.

I'm gonna try my ass off to make thier and regardles you can have my thrower and I might have a box of clays aswell. Who's bringing the name tags?

Btw just noticed I'm a "High Power Shooter" baby!!!
