I know enough about that track to know there is a crazy long straightaway that runs along part of Hwy 36. What kind of speeds do you hit on that part of the track? Just curious.
By the way, you sport bike guys are nuts.![]()

OH Sh!t... Martin has a pretty good tendency of testing his limits... and going down. I gotta give him a call and see how he's doing... We've got the same bikes 03' GSXR1000 with set ups that are close to identical.
I've reached the speedo's max at 185 mph on my bike and had the tach needle still moving 10000 to 13000 rpms to the end of the tracks straight. I know the experts are hitting that 200 mph barrier with their well prepped bikes. Those guys pass me like I was standing still on that straight.![]()

Awesome pics, always wanted to get into racing like that. I tried when I was in the Navy, but all the regulations to just to be able to ride a bike turned me off to ever doing it.
Well, it's never to late to go out racing. We have a local race club here (Motorcycle Racing Association)... and they even have a race event for guys with regular street bike called "Superstreet"... so you don't need a fully prepped race bike to go racing, but you would need a full race suit with gloves, boots, and back protector. Guys in the club would even try to get you some gear they can loan you just so you can go out and race.![]()
