    My understanding, which is limited in scope, the only thing OpenOffice can't do is docx. files (post whatever ms office), for which there are converters. As far as mobile goes, don't know about the cell stuff. But I do have a full mobile suite on my thumb drive.

    for those of you that are using open office.

    Oracle Stops Support for Commercial OpenOffice.org
    15 April 2011: Oracle Corporation today has announced its intention to move OpenOffice.org to a purely community-based open source project and no longer offer a commercial version of Open Office (formerly named Oracle Open Office, when the development was at Sun the name was StarOffice).

    now what this means is that it has become public domain and freeware(as it has been) but will no longer be supported by Oracle.
    Just something to keep in mind.
