    Default Herman Caine

Caught him last night on Leno. 40 years of executive experience, his 999 plan makes some sense to my simple brain.
    Seems like a straight shooter.
But aside from that I dont know much of him.
I do feel that he has one big huge hurdle in front of him:
    His ethnicity.
The current resident of the WH has so screwed the pooch I dont think an actual black man stands a chance.
Sad-racism was slowly dying a quite death until BO and his minions stirred the pot.

    Whats your thoughts on Caine?

PS- I know I brought up the race issue and we can discuss it freely but the second this turns into a racial slamfest I will have this closed.

The problem with 9-9-9 is that it will rapidly become 27-27-27

I think we've seen that before.

ok, on the note that this question was asked.

I just realized last week when I saw a picture (don't have TV) that Jon Embree (head coach of the CU buffalo's) is black. I didn't know and I didn't care (& hell I was in school when he was playing)

Besides some truly liberal victim mongers, I don't think most people really care.

Best man for the job, whatever that is.
I don't see it as a big issue.

I wish he would have been in the highlights five years ago. Maybe he would be President and our economy would be for the better instead of blowing trillions and trillions. He indeed has a huge hurdle to overcome with his race, but I would probably vote for him.

Not trying to be a dick bert, but why would you assume (to the point of "warning" us) that your fellow coar15ers would turn a simple discussion about caine into a "racial slam fest"?

Maybe I haven't been here long enough to see all these racists exposed. (many of whom are customers, right?)

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

Because it has happened before sad to say. Now with the formalities out of the way.

I like Cain. I have seen the videos but want a chance to see him in person. There are 4-5 candidates that I like parts of. I do not think some are viable to the American public as a whole.

I am still in a wait and see and wanting more info before I pick. I do think one needs to take a good long hard look this time and not just listen to the talking heads and there dirty laundry at 5pm.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

Your not being a dick at all Chad, I just didn't want to see it take a possible ugly turn. It taking that turn would be implied on some other forums and perhaps I overlooked the fact that we have a great group of guys here.
Maybe I was wrong for even mentioning the fact and or my wording was incorrect.
I just was trying to illustrate that it may end up working against him. Unfortunately there are those that will only see the color of a persons skin and not the merits of the man.

As far as the customer comment what they feel is what they feel. All of my customers are great regardless of what their personal views are and I am grateful to have them.

I done stepped in the BooBoo now huh?

We need a future president who is highly experienced with economics. Not lawyers and senators with limited experience aka Barry.

And that is where Caine would excel I feel.

Oh no. hehe... No booboo at all.. Thanks for the clarification. I understand fully how on most forums you couldn't even bring up race with out it turning ugly. Thanks for not slamming me! Haha..

And I do agree that bo getting elected and failing probably has hurt the advancement of minorities in major national politics... It was my same problem when ge got the job. There were even other minority candidates better suited, but he was hip at the time.
