I had an electric problem one time a link burned out and killed the truck. I fixed the link and relized that the battery was to low to start. I waited for 10 minutes with 100s of cars driving by no one stopped. I tried the thumb, the leg sticking out no one stopped so I just hooked up my jumper cables and stuck those out the side of the truck with the message I need a jump. Well it wasn't long after, that a car full of marines showed and gave me jump. Not a lot of talk but many thanks were exchanged. My truck fired right up and I was on my way. I pull over every now and then not expecting something in return. Maybe they will do it for someone or they won't but I'm glad I helped if I could.

I've been known to help people broke down on the roadside. Changed flats, given jumps, rides to get gas, even flagged down a trucker whose brakes were smoking. Been awhile though.
