They have a reasonable selection, always some interesting stuff and more than fair pricing.

They can also order anything and I must tell you they just ordered me a Dan Wesson Guardian at a truly unbelievable price. Under anyone else out there, not just the expensive shops, but the price point shops too. They also do transfers.

Nice guys, nice shop, check them out.

    A recent experience: (long)
I was looking for a cz455, Called a few local places and found one online.

Called Bison and asked if they had one. "nope" I pause a beat to see if it will become "Nope but we can order one, let me get a price" then say thank you I'll be contacting you for a transfer.

Order the gun and print a nice reference sheet with all the info, go down to get that handled. I knew their website says have the FFL call them but I wanted to see the place so went by, two birds one stone.

Get in there, there are a couple other people there so somewhat busy. Say I want to setup a transfer and he says email only. okaaay, got the email address handy? Write it down on my handy reference sheet and head out. Was so shocked I forgot to even look around.

Email the seller, CC Bison with "Hello, The local FFL wants to hear directly from you to setup the transfer. I have CCd them on this email." They respond (all) with "No problem, what information do they want?" No response from Bison. I figure Bison just responded directly to the seller and didn't get concerned.

Two days go by, seller emails asking for FFL info. Never hear back from Bison. So I send back they they say on their website they want to be called by the sender for transfers, give them the phone number. They call, no answer so left a message.

Another day, still nothing I just find somewhere else. Send an email to another FFL asking what their transfer procedure is. Get a response in minutes saying just have them email. Tell the seller to email them, have everything arranged in a couple hours.

At this point I'm thinking it would have been worth the extra hundred to just buy it at Gander. Things got worked out but were much more complicated than needed.

I've been in here four times. Service seems to depend on who is working the counter, I've been flat-out ignored once, greeted promptly and warmly once, and somewhere in between the other two times.

As it happens the friendly-greeting day happened to be the same day I'd decided to get a new snubbie, and they had a 642 in the case for a reasonable price. Hooray!

Sounds like they're not interested in transfers to me. Had a similar experience early this year. They'd rather get the profit themselves than provide a service to the firearms community.
On the other hand, I have always been greeted and treated respectfully whenever I've been there. Usually the best price in town, so if they have it in stock or can order it, they will take care of you.
