i just think that while breaking into someones home may not be as bad as going after children it is right up there in there in personal violation . maybe knock off some of the sentience say just chop off a finger instead of the whole hand ,......oh wait thats right we dont chop off hands for stealing

    Too bad...
I see property as one level, violation of personal rights is a much worse crime. Ie, stealing a car, breaking into a house, robbing a bank etc. Those are stuff related. Rape, molestation, murder, all personal violations, and much worse. Id easily trade 5 non-violent robbers (steal when no one is around) for 1 personal crime, even 10:1. Everyone will eventually get caught, the difference is the personal violator is causing far more damages than the thief.

I would support reduced sentences for paedophiles if they agreed to perform self-surgery and make their outie an inie

It says that the burglars' case has been turned over to the DA's office for review. It would be fair in my opinion if they got a plea bargain to a lesser crime, but still had to own up to what they did. Good for them on turning that guy in though.
