This situation is full of FAIL.

20-year-old Abdulaziz Mubarak Alshammari reportedly strolled back and forth down the plane, acting erratically, before he began tugging on the locked cabin door.
...
Investigators photocopied a note Alshammari wrote in Arabic while on the plane, but he was not charged.
...
"He tried [to open the door] twice," Bailey told WISH TV. "I just threw down my stuff and jumped out of my seat and ran to the door. I pulled him by the arm and tried to get him behind me.
...
When he asked Alshammari if he was looking for the bathroom, the man he shook his head.

Though Alshammari claimed to be a student at the University of Indianapolis, the university had no records of him.
...
Police contacted The Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center and the FBI Terrorist Screening Center to run checks. When records indicated that Alshammari wasn't on any watch list, he was freed and no charges were filed.
...
According to police reports, "TSA would not respond to the scene."
My thoughts...
1. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!!????
2. He tries to open the cabin door... claims to attend a university that has no record of him... hardly speaks any English... flew in from Saudi Arabia... AND THEY'RE LETTING HIM OFF THE HOOK!? WTF!?
3. Upon seeing a hajji writing stuff in Arabic, nervously pacing up and down the aisle, then attempting to open the cabin door mid-flight, only ONE passenger acted... and all he did was grab the hajji by the arm! WTF!?
4. TSA refused to investigate... what, were they too busy with their pornoscanners? WTF!?

Now its not like he'd actually have accomplished anything (there's no way he could have opened the door mid-flight... worst he could have managed would be to break the pressure seal and cause the sensors to go off and breathing masks to pop down... not fun, but not going to effect the flight), but I seriously hope that I speak for everyone here when I say that if I were on an airliner and a uh... young man of middle eastern decent... was acting in the manner that he did, the only question would be what's the most effective way to take him down.
