Privatizing the gains and socializing the losses, that is what our government helped the big boys (Wall Street, GM, Chrysler, et al) do.

Moral equivalency is not the answer, just because the government did it for some folks doesn't mean the government should do it for everyone. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

The truth is that the government shouldn't have helped anyone. The government shouldn't be bailing out businesses nor should the government make any kind of loan to an individual.
This is exactly what I was trying to get at. +1

While I'm not opposed to student loans because it is the only thing giving me the opportunity to go to school while providing for my family, all of these "99%" folks sure are making it seem like a good idea to take away the privilege of student loans as they don't seem to appreciate what an incredible opportunity it is, nor do they understand that no one is entitled to blow $100,000 on some ridiculous pipe dream of job that either isn't there or will never truly come to fruition. No, you don't deserve to be some millionaire painter or the CEO of Apple.

I suppose that private corporations could take over student loans. They tend to do better with the monetary end of things anyways.
