Thanks for finding that MB88. One Magpull coming up
OP- AR pistols are a kick in the pants. Compact, powerful and as mentioned before-LOUD!
Accuracy is fair out to 100 yards-pie plate size groups but I supposed with an optic of some sort I could do better. I just have Magpull BUIS.
LOUD!
You can bring it up and get a halfway decent cheekweld on the buffer.
Great "truck gun" for road trips.
LOUD!
Lotsa fun at a range, one of those items that will make everybody go "What the hell was that"?
Very good at placing a silly grin on the shooters face that takes a while to go away.
LOUD!
Dark ranges and firing at night cause a large flaming pumpkin to belch from the muzzle, again resulting in a silly grin.
LOUD!
Get one complete from the factory, a lot of builds are problematic in one way or another, they are more sensitive than a regular AR.

Thanks all for the info. Defenity work a real look into. Like I said just looking for a ridiculous awesome new toy. As far as the AK pistols they are still pretty cool but I mainly stick to .223. Thanks again for all the good info. I will also consider the SBR option as well. how does one get started with getting a SBR? Is there a for on the ATf website?
Thanks again
The NFA forum on this website is a good start.
A good place for ATF NFA info is the ATF NFA handbook-

There are local NFA dealers that can be helpful also.
Be very careful! NFA stamp collection can be addicting.
Have Fun.
So I am highly thinking of a AR SBR. Can i just buy an upper 7" and register my current Ar-15 lower as an SBR and switch between the 16" and 7" when i feel like it? Will there be the same problems as a kit build as BP stated? Any recomentations for an upper 7" or a complete AR SBR? looking at a 7" or 10" upper from Rock River. Which one is shall we say more "fun".
Thanks

Did he mention they are loud? LOL I would go with the AR pistol over the AK any day of the week, dont get me wrong I like the AK I own a few of them, but I also own an AR and I like it so much I dont shoot it anymore, that is why I purchased th AK47 I shoot those instead. IMO the AK has alot more power but not as accurate as the AR.

Anybody have or shot one of those PTR pistols in .308 ? As long as you are going for fun, might as well go BIG.
