    Default New WASR 10

[QUOTE]I purchased a WASR 10 to to put my Bullpup Kit on but did not realize it did not have a threaded barrel. Does any one have any suggestions? I have seen the 14mm-1.0 LH die will this be able to thread the barrel? I have also seen front sight bases that were threaded. It does have a chrome lined barrel so I am happy with that, I am just trying to see what the best way to go about getting a flash suppressor on the front of it. Thinks for your input.

Threaded FSB's are for the AK74 and the 24mm? muzzle device. They are match drilled and reamed(pins) to the barrel similar to the FSB pins on an AR. The odds of the holes lining up on a replacement FSB are nil. They are also a press fit and can be quite tight.
If the snout of the barrel is of sufficient diameter it can be threaded 14x1LH. Yours looks like it should be. By the time you buy a die and thread alignment tool it will cost you more than for me to thread it. You also run the risk of "drooping" the muzzle device, even with the thread alignment tool you are not guaranteed the threads are concentric to the bore. Sometimes they will also thread poorly due to the nature of the steel, alternating soft and hard spots.
If it is undersized I can turn the barrel down, turn a bushing, sweat it onto the barrel and then thread the bushing.
You will also need to find the brake retaining pin and spring and install it.
PM me if need be Atrain.

+1 on having bp thread it, I have a spare plunger spring and a plunger pin would be easy enough to make.

That is what I am going to do. I have not been able to locate a pin or spring yet, so if you could make one that would be great just pm me if you would and let me know how much you would charge me for that and I will also bring my GP 1975 so we can see about getting that one going. Thanks for your time.

lol i wont charge you for a little spring i have sitting around in my armorers box and a modded piece of a broken drill bit that will only take 5 minutes to make in fact i'll look around some more i might even have an actual spare plunger. If bp is going to remove your front sight to thread your muzzle then let me know and i'll get you the plunger and spring before you take it down

I dont know if this thing even has a warranty it came off of GB and the guy said it has never been fired, I do not beleive he is the original owner. But if it did have a warranty would it void it and also since this does not have a threaded barrel is it a lower end AK? The reason I ask is I see alot of them advertised as having the desired slant muzzle break, since this one does not have even a threaded barrel is there anything else different?
