When did Glock start making revolvers? HA.
Here's another one. Today is the end of our grading session so grades are due tomorrow.
Kid: This is a band class... it's band... how am I failing?
Me: You haven't turned in any homework, practiced your instrument, and don't pay attention in class. All you do is talk to your neighbor and play on your phone, even after I called your who didn't give two farts because as you said "It's just band." You made yourself fail. You must take responsibility. This is not "just band class". The skills learned in this area of academia will support you in real life whether you continue on in music or not. Unfortuneately, failing is part of real life as well. Thus, at the end of December, you will fail and be able to transfer into another class since you are unwilling to work in this one.
Kids: ....But I like band...
Me: Really? You're grade says otherwise. Why do you like band?
Kid: Because I don't have to do anything....
Me: You understand that THAT is why you are failing right? You haven't done anything. I can't give a grade if you don't even try.
Kid: ....are we watching a movie today?
Me: .... get out of my office....
WTF is happeneing to our society. NO ONE, even kids, want to work... grrrrrrr
So, why do people assume that since "it's just band" that you won't have to work at it? It's not just blowing into plumbing and beating on stuff....
