One of my favorite assumptions is that, because I deliver hot tubs/work for a company that sells them, that I MUST own one myself.

Yes, because delivery drivers make oodles upon oodles of expendable income.



What assumptions about your job/life/relationship/marriage/situation do you "love" the most?

I'm a pilot. people assume I have a specific "route". or that I fly every airplane that every airline owns. or that the regional jets are far more dangerous than the big ones just because of their size (I don't tell them some of the big ones are 3 times as old as the small ones...like from the 60's and 70's!)
or they assume, even when I am on my cell phone that their life and their problem is more important than my life and my conversation and jump in front of me asking me where their flight is leaving from and which way that is and how many stops on the train.
or people that sit next to you on the airplane and think you want to hear their life story and you should listen to every word and then tell your life story! damn it I just want to sleep!

Chopped my hair off nearly 10 years ago for that reason. Not being able to have anyone take you seriously gets really annoying. Wife still bugs me about it, and wants it back!

Knowing anything about vehicles, yeah hear you all on that one. "I got this noise..."

Owning a fabrication and design business, CNC equipment etc... "can you fix my.." "can you build a.." "all these shops charge so much, I just want something to do this" The inevitable blank stares, "Yes, give me a drawing, CAD or on a napkin, I dont care, but I cant make parts with no idea what you want" Best is quote a part, based loosely on a sketch with overall size dimensions, and then get told they'll send you a part to pull the measurements off of. "Sorry, the quote did not include design time, you can double the quote if we need to draw/design/dimension it too"
