    Default Benjamin Sheridan!

The .22 Benjamin Sheridan is super fun anyway.
I am shooting through a plywood target backing and I am more impressed by the power everytime I try to push it a little further. I have a XL1200 model if that helps? I noticed Wally World has Benjamin's on the shelf again.
If you go this route, the first few shots are loud then the pellet gun "breaks in" and becomes pretty quiet. When the pellet hits the target is usually louder the the shot itself!
I used to shoot pigeons for the local gas station owner in trade for frozen pizzas with a Benjamin .22 when I was a kid. Hell, I would do that again if the offer was still there.
    Good luck.

I used to trap a lot when i lived in Michigan. You buy/ rent the traps i will be able to trap the coons for you. if you are interested free of charge of course!

I got out of trapping out here because you can only use cage traps

but did have really good luck with cage traps too.

    does she have cats?

if you dont want me to come help you trap them you can pm me and i will give you some ideas on how to do it. especially if you send me some pictures of the back hard i could tell you where to place the traps!

good luck! they will be looking for places to hole up here pretty soon though... which could either be good or bad

For the snare route, those cheap wire survival saws are good for the critter end to prevent them from chewing through it and getting loose.

    Default Racoons

I have had good luck with live traps, Harbor Freight sells them. A piece of raw chicken works real well.

trap them and then one shot in the head with a air rifle will do the trick. no noise and no racoon trying to kick your ass when you try to let them out of the trap. they are nasty and filthy with desease. they will tell all thier friends and family about your place and you must remove them. they will be in your house before you know it. dont mess around, get rid of them! wear gloves to handle them.

Like many others, and because I'm in the peoples republic of Denver (although the very furthest southwest point of it), I got the highest velocity pellet gun I could find and put a scope on it. I put one right through their beady little eye and it's lights out for the coon. I took out a family of 7 last year, one didn't die right away and was half under my deck, the momma and she was one massively huge coon! Problem is (as I found out the hard way), trapping them is challenging (even for pros) and when you do they scream like banshees all night long (got the cops called on me) and can find their way home again. They are smart little bastards and mean as hell.
