yeah, that's why I don't do it. texting on regular phone keypad is a pain.

some day I'll have a neat phone with a full keypad, then I'll text more.

A long time ago when the cell phone first came out, the trend was to make them smaller and more pocket size. Now the trend has reversed, full keypads and bigger screens, pretty soon you'll need a wheelbarrow to carry one around. Imagine a cell phone with a 42" screen.
In case you couldn't figure out this was meant to be humorous,

I hate when people text me when I don't know them. especially if it is just an offer, no info, no name...nada.

I was selling something on craigslist not long ago...for about $5k and I put FIRM in the ad
guy sends me a text at midnight: "$4K cash?"

I just responded and told him "obviously you missed the FIRM part"

he called the next day when another person was driving off with it!
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

During the day either my hands are dirty, I'm hunting, fishing or in a meeting. On some projects I have meetings 6 hours a day. If I don't answer my buddies just shoot me a text. Until recently I didn't use text messages at all, but now I see how quick/easy it is to communicate with them. Super convenient.

I text a lot during the day, and i'm on my phone a lot during the day.. there are times where voice communication just isn't allowed... like mediation.. arbitration.. standing in front of a judge.. boy do they get pissed when someone didn't turn their phone to silent.

At least we don't still have pagers and you get a text with *911 behind it only to find your friend just wanted to see what you were doing..

No matter the form of communication you're going to get people who fail at using it.. just like the english language itself.

If you've ever seen some people type and how long have keyboards been around? Hell I know I was learning to type in '86..

In 86 it was called keyboard skills, now in 76 it was called typing skills.

Knucklehead- the correct terminology is now "Skilz"
Please make a note of it.

Texting comes in handy for certain things. However, the Art of proper and effective communication is decreasing with the introduction of the now "txtg lnge". If I do not know the person, a phone call or email will do. If I do know them, I'll text, just quicker for me as I just tend to get directly to the point.

Probably more important to the seller to sell their piece then it is to the buyer to buy it... I've noticed way to much bull**** whining lately resulting from people thinking they know the only way to buy or sell something... Everyone needs to calm down and make deals.

I mean people arguing over the actual words, and whether or not they are old school enough. Post count (really?), whether they say I'll take it in pm or on the thread, if it's the first "lets meet" vs "how about 25$ off" that gets it...just everything.. Then for every sale thread there is a gd thread bitching about the trading post....

I bought my 1911 off this site through text.. Everything in writing, spelled out.. Black and white. Met up, great transaction..

,Whoa just read all that lol... Sry about the rant, dont mean it directed at anyone... K feel better...... But yeah, text isnt a bad thing
