I'm going to disagree on your 'ALL Democrats' generalization though. Majority? Yes, I think so.

As far as them being 'backed', I haven't seen any quotes by any of those people you mentioned that displayed full support for them. And I'm starting to see more and more on the right offering some words of sympathy for them as it takes up more and more attention in the public eye.

Right now, the politicians on both sides are eyeing this thing along with their strategists in order to figure out how they can gain from it. I think the lines will be better drawn once the 'movement' gets a little more organized and that is when the full left v. right division will occur and the financial backing will start coming in.

It is a shame that the thing became political at all. But anymore... what isn't?
