    Default Is this hard to fix

    I think something got in the hinge and it broke when I closed it.

    A panel like that might snap on. I assume you've tried just pressing it back on? What model HP is that?

    It's a dv9000 the hinge came apart as well

    Looks like the same thing that happened to my HP laptop. Have not had it repaired yet. The molded plastic post that assembly screw from front cover panel to rear cover panel goes into broke apart.
