And yeah, often times prize horses live better than most of us do. My ex worked for a horse trainer/breeder who at the time had a fresh colt that they treated like royalty cause of his bloodline... the mare had brought in something like $140k, and the sire (the stud) was worth like twice that. You can imagine how well they were cared for.

I think he said that horse was 19 1/2 hand. He was the tallest but he was a little more slender. Most of the horses were probably 18-19 hand and weighed about 2200-2300lbs

The first pictures were of the smallest of the horses. He showed me a picture of the stud they use for breeding and it was a picture of him rearing up on his hind legs cause they just brought in a mare and he got all excited.

He also said when they are in the pasture he will whistle at them and they all come running and it sounds like a earthquake coming at you!!!
