Good luck!! Days 3-7 were the hardest for me. I'm going on like 75 days now I think. I still have one every couple of weeks or so, but not like a pack or anything. It will be when I'm out with the boys and drinking. Remember, if you slip up, it isn't the end of the world, just keep going on like you quit. I have friends that have tried to quit and make it a couple of days and think that because they were weak for a few minutes all the effort is over. It isn't.

    Congrats, stick to it.

It ain't that tough once you decide that you are a nonsmoker. I quit in late 2000 and have not had a smoke since.

Im right there with ya. Its very easy to stop because I cant stand the smell or the price.

The crappy part is that I will start smoking again sooner or later to help with a flare up from ulcerative colitis. Then when things are back to normal I will stop again.

I'm going a year strong after quitting a can of Copenhagen a day for 15 years or so. I've quit before, but always got back on the wagon.

Now I treat it like those meth billboards: "Not even Once", and that has made all the difference in the world. Before when I'd quit, I'd go strong a month or two, then a buddy at the bar would have a can and I'd take one after I got a few beers in me. Then the next weekend a couple. Before I knew it I was buying my own can.

I know that if I never take that first chew again, I will never get addicted again. The secret to quitting is actually 100% quitting. Never even a single little puff/chew.

Good luck! I quit chewing now and then, but then I go to work and deal with people that send me off the wagon
