    They were just "paintball Guns"

    The 15 MP-5 submachine guns and 15 colt .45 handguns were modified to fire small plastic bullets, similar to those used in paintball, LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said.

    “These weapons are not functional,” Smith said. “They will not shoot bullets. You cannot shoot bullets without extensive modifications.”

    Smith compared the modified weapons to "paintball guns."

    I do believe that in an anti gun place like CA or NJ, if you allowed 20 or so firearms to be stolen they would prosecute with something.

    it was all planned. the new way around fast and furious. "they were stolen" is all Holder needs to say now.

    and of course when they are used in crime, the media will say the submachine guns were bought in texas over the counter at a deer hunting convention.
