    Something good was inspired by Hollywood...
    I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day

    Lots of awesome is inspired by Hollywood, books, comics, all forms of fiction.

    most of the time, it is the other way around- books, comics inspire Hollywood. how is Isaac Asimov related to Hollywood?

    Hollywood is just one outlet for Fiction at large, which is why I listed other mediums... I can think of only one Isaac Asimov book to be turned into a movie recently, "I, Robot". Don't think it did very well in theatres, but I liked it... the world, if nothing else.

    And yes, very frequently movies source their material on other stuff. Kids toys too...

    Damn! I just saw that on Gizmodo and Hoser beat me to it! It's American ingenuity like this that helped us win WWII and it's great see that tradition is still alive.
