How much longer do we have to wait for California to fall off into the ocean?

I love how often this same sentiment is posted here.

I don't think you need to have a dad to be a man. I personally don't think this kid's gender issues have anything to do with being raised by lesbians. I do however, strongly disagree with what these parents are doing. Be a damn parent and give your kid direction. If he wants to be a lady, well, he can start when he's 18. He'll have plenty of time to figure it out then.

He might not need a dad to become a man, but being raised in an openly gay environment around other openly gay people would make you an outcast if you weren't gay as well.

You know how kids want to grow up to be just like their daddy? Same principle.

When we have children it's our responsibility to give our children the best possible chance at a good life. IMO, that child isn't in a position to have the best possible life. Tragic.

Sure it has an effect, but come on, the kid goes to school, has other male friends with dad's, heck even watches tv. Those parents (snicker) sure as hell aren't handling this the right way, but I really have to wonder if this kid wouldn't have had problems on his own anyway.

I'm pretty understanding of other peoples desires and their personal preferences but I can't get over how important the relationship between a son and his dad can be in male childhood development. Learning how to interact with other men/boys in a mature way, treat women, etc. is developed in part due to the relationship that a son has with his dad. Granted, this is all dependent on the father not being a dead beat.

My relationship with my dad was pretty terrible but fortunately I had a brother that is 20 years older than me and could some what make up for it. My mom certainly couldn't have filled that role. This is my experience, so take it with a grain of salt.

Regardless of the parents, this child would have ended up on hormone medication waiting for his transformation Tommy into Tammy?

I'm having trouble seeing it as a huge coincidence.

Oh, no no no no no. I'm saying that regardless of the parents, perhaps this kid would have identity issues. The whole hormones thing is a huge cluster.

It's still hard for me to believe it's a coincidence. Why don't we see headlines with regular mom/dad families and 11 year old transgenders?

    Got kids?

Heaven forbid something happens to you and the couple that is raising Tommy gets custody of your children. Would it be a surprise if they turned out to be gay?
