Its state patrol if i'm not mistaken, they have one near walsenburg too, I saw it a few times and was wondering the same thing, I got a close look and its some sort of commerative edition if I'm not mistaken, as crazy as that sounds....

I've never seen one in pueblo, but I've seen one in burg and south of burg so that would be the only logical conclusion. Its in seperate counties so it would have to be a state agency, but If I remember right I got a close look at one once and I think it said something about a commemerative edition, like they are collector cars, lol.

Speaking of cop cars I saw the pueblo Pit Practice car the other day (along with the trainees). Watched the boys playing with it. After they were done I think they need more practice.

I saw 3 different paint jobs today on my way home from work in the section of EB I-70 I like to now call the "Oven" (there's a lot of heat in that area) from Genesee to 6th Ave. One was like the pic posted above (Charger), one was the standard silver (Crown Vic) and another was a black Expedition with the same CSP paint job but not silver... crazy- they're all different colors!?!?!

Anyone else noticing that while all this stuff is crumbling and cutting back, our LE is getting kick-ass stuff? JSCO just outfitted a few more of their black and whites with FLIR pods above the light bar (used to be only mountain precinct SUVs, now they're on crown vics!?)

The CSP is funded primarily through the state highway fund, which is from the gas tax, federal highway funds and the like. Very little of their funding comes from the state general fund. I'm not a big fan of the CSP, but they do put on a lot of miles on their vehicles yearly and they mile out by state rules very quickly.

My state agency hasn't purchased (they are actually leases from the state) a new vehicle in 5 years. My G-ride has 134,000 miles on it and I will keep it for another 50,000 at least.

Those 75 year anniversary vehicles will mile out in a year or two and they will be gone. Most of them are being driven by higher ranking Troopers.
