    Default Mountain Crapper in progress

I've been working on the structure for the mountain crapper (thanks for all the input in earlier post).
Hauling 16 sacks of concrete uphill was almost as fun as digging the holes in rock.

    The beginning...

    First wall:

    Another wall:

    all the walls:

    Roof trusses:

    Sheathing:

    Roof:

    Dried-in w/ door & windows:

I have some cedar bevel-lap siding I need to stain and nail up after the rest of the moisture barrier is up, then finish the eves/soffits. I haven't decided on the model of composting toilet yet, but it'll be the spring before it goes in. Wife calls it the "Loo with a View".

Very nice! I'd start looking now for a really nice magazine rack that will complement the local environment and interior decor.

    That looks fantastic.

Question: When the throne is placed, will you be in-line with the front window for scenic viewing purposes?

I expect that, sitting on the throne, you'd look to your right to look out the bigger window, or straight ahead to look out the smaller one.

I think that's exactly what we'll use in the short-term.
