The furthest away from the highway I can get you is 1/2 mile, but I promise that it is pretty remote. Could also test out CBs.

I am going to get a proper 18' foot cable and get mine hooked back up and we can start testing range a little better.

I would like to try the plains. I would probably bring my teenage son as I want him to learn with me.
Yeah, they can tell it's just a stock unit with a stock mic and always call me "driver." There are a bunch of dudes who hop on their base stations and chat all night on the weekends.
Shouldn't be a problem. Not like there is anything out there.
I'd like to get my dirt bike all fixed up so I could take it out there and leave it.

Sounds fine to me, I just need a time (weekend) that people can do it so I can take off work. I have to work holidays, so those are usually out.
