Pizza Hut Hackers

So yesterday for the Walking Dead I figured I would order some pizza and breadsticks from Pizza Hut. After checking out usually a popup happens saying something about pizza. This time two popups happen and they are porn sites!
(My wife looks at me like what are you doing)
I click out of the porn sites and a message appears "What the F___ are you looking at, you got your pizza didn't you?" Click out of that and another message comes up "Debit cards? Don't worry I will take care of those."

I click out of that and shut off my internet. Run system restore to last week and run my antivirus. Nothing.. Go to craigslist working fine.. Then I decide to send a nice email to pizza hut..

They have no email only an online form that uses Java... So i figured whatever I am sending a complaint.. Go on there and started to type out what happened and my words magically start to delete and type out mother f_____ and other stuff. I clicked out of my internet and reinstalled my OS... I am pretty sure it was just something on their site.. but man was that creepy.

I don't go to weird sites and don't look at porn.. So I have had to worry about very few viruses. That really makes you feel unsafe online. Makes me want to call in orders, not do online banking or billpay. Has this happened to you?

Likely it's your computer that's infected. AV isn't perfect. I ordered some pizza hut recently online and had no such nonsense.

Why not just call it in? Also I would check with your bank to make sure there isn't any suspicious activity...

I agree.. it has to be a malware in your PC. Keylogger is a bitch. Where is byte strike when need one.

thanks guys I reinstalled my Operating System so I should not have any problems again unless I get another virus right?

A firewall will prevent someone from logging into his system, but it won't do anything to stop malware.

Besides, most routers nowadays have firewalls in them already that you can configure.

My suggestions to avoid malware- Comcast provides free A/V for all of their customers (6 licenses I believe), and run a browser other than IE. I've been running chrome for a long time and haven't had a single bug.
