Fun fun fun drive to work today from 6th & Simms to Evergreen. Just a word to those of you who may be headed West from the Metro Area today- I-70 is half country road, half parking lot. I don't think I went over 35MPH, it looks like they haven't plowed since 3 AM, and to make matters worse I passed 2 Kalifornians and 1 Texan. Did everyone from out of state just move here recently or something? 99% of the cars I shared the road with this morning on my commute had no idea how to drive in a little snow. Okay, so it wasn't a little, it was a lot, but still, I grew up here, learned to drive in some of the worst conditions- and spent 3 years in Northern NY where the snow is 10x worse than this.
Okay, the real reason for this post, for the love of everything holy and for your family's sake, don't drive today unless you absolutely have to. The conditions are terrible! Please be safe fellow AR lovers, because today is going to be a rough day for plow truck drivers, EMS/Fire, LE, and those of us in the transportation industry. Yikes! Be careful!
