I took your suggestions, dismantled and cleaned and dried laptop,let it set for a couple of days........ HOLY CRAP!!! it works! There is one spot on the screen in the lower right corner by the zoom control but its no big deal.
I'm sure it was my cleaning expertise that did the trick LOL. Toshiba ROCKS. Gonna celebrate with a few brewskis this PM.
