The main reason the gun grabbers had power was because much of the populace backed them. Now they don't (but yes, public opinion can be fickle).

That doesn't mean they aren't still going to try to get our guns and I understand that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't acknowledge when we're winning.

The statistics are nice to see...however, I always keep an eye on the enemy and NEVER let my guard down. I fear the "gun grabbers" the most when they are silent, simply because it means they are planning & plotting their next movement.

What's odd is more and more of our society grows urban based. The logical thought process would mean it would turn more anti-gun as cities usually have stricter gun laws. Maybe everyday people are getting the idea that guns are a good thing for society.

Actually I blame the gun grabbers for the decrease in support for gun control.

Every time they tried to tighten gun laws, more and more people ran out and bought the guns to be banned. I still remember a time when very few people owned ARs, now they're possibly more common than double barrel shotguns.

As more people own guns, less people are interested in them being banned.

Also of note is the fact that the disparity was much greater in the opposite direction at one time and the tables have flipped so our work is far from done since the same thing can happen the other way.

True, they see gun regulation as an uphill battle so they will go after ammunition. I see serialization of ammo as the next big threat.
Our rights to own and bear firearms will always be under attack one way or another!
