Yeah...somewhere around here I still have a knife I made out of a truck spring in high school metal-shop class in Houston. Can't imagine doing that in a public school these days.

No kidding. Especially in a metro area. Knife/shank would get used before it even left the class!

Of course I do realize that you are referring to the schools being unwilling to allow students to make anything even remotely dangerous for fear of being sued.

I got one of their arrow points for my BOB and it is pretty nice. Their knifes look pretty sweet too.

I actually bumped another thread when I was searching for knives. It goes hand in hand with making your own ****! I'd love to learn how.

Did anything ever come from this? I stumbled across it when I was searching about knives. I've always wanted to get into black smithing after reading this when I was little.
