Default Question for LEO's regarding CCW and DL

If you have a CCW does it tag up on your DL when its ran through the system, say for a traffic stop?

Just curious, for once i did not declare my gun in the car( i kinda forgot it wAs in the center console) the officer asked if i was armed, at the end of the stop, which I replied yes. Even when im not carrying, i have never been asked this.

It depends on which county the CCW was issued in. Many counties turned in their lists, while others (western slope mostly) dont. This database is supposed to be gone by July 1st this year - but I have heard otherwise. Perhaps others can chime in.

MB888 pretty much got it. From what I understand it's not supposed to be going into the system anymore after July 1st, some counties already don't and some never did, which was confusing for LE too because a lot of officers assumed or thought that all of the counties submitted that information.

My experience with NCIC is that even though information is supposed to be removed many times it gets overlooked...hence numerous times that people get stopped and pulled out of their own car at gun point because the vehicle was reported stolen, then returned, but the "stolen entry hit" was not removed. ***That's just an example, it happens but not that often.
