How to post a pic??

I need some guidance on how to post a picture. I can't figure it out and end up posting a link instead. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't feel too inept, I can only get pictures posted as a thumbnail, still can't figure out how to get them to post as part of the thread.

Make a photobucket account.
Upload pics to photobucket.
You can just click on the picture code on photobucket, and paste it in your post.
Easy as pie.
