I have a GSG which is the same exact gun. I love it it is very accurate. If you buy the GSG you get a better gun for a cheaper price. The Sig does not have the acc rail. I have mine removed so if you compare it to a Sig the only difference is the name.

I was wondering about that, as I didn't think Sig built their own. No isssues with mags? Shoots good? worth it? Looks like they can be had for $350.

I paid 330 for mine at jensons with the fake can 3 different front sights. All you have to do is keep the mag clean and it is fine. The first time out I went through 2 boxes of 550 rounds and it only had 2 glitches out of 100 rounds. I have a website to get a better guide rod than the stock one and other aftermarket parts.

The gsg/sig 1911's are gtg. I have a gsg and it runs great on federal bulk and cci blazers. I don't even clean it that often. My only complaint is the take down screw which makes dis-assembly/cleaning a pain. Usually I just lock the slide open and run a boresnake through it a few times to 'clean'. If you're OCD about keeping the finish on your guns perfect this may not be the gun for you. The finish will wear off fairly easy with use. Mags are well-made and metal. No polymer feed lips to wear out.

My finish is fine. And it will eat anything I put in it.

I read that there have been guide rod issues on some, and I know there is a machined guide rod available to address the problem. Any comment on that? Any problems? Thanks again.

I've heard about the guide rods breaking on some. Mine has about 3k through it so far and no issues. From what I've read ATI will quickly send out a replacement if you have any failures. I'm sure SIG would do the same.

They break after about 4000 rounds, and they do send a replacement. But go here http://www.cwaccessories.com/ and check out there guide rods. I have one in my gun and it has improved accuracy.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't really decided whether or not to get one. Just had one in hand the other say at GMG. It was interesting but confusing. Completely familiar shape in hand, but the weight difference is so large it just didn't feel right.
