Tebow has been playing quarterback since he was 10. He's played enough to be at the peak of his performance, and frankly, he doesn't have what it takes to be a NFL quarterback, all positive niceness and leadership aside. His throwing technique caused a couple of those turnovers, due to him laying the ball too far back behind him and outward to throw, which was a fair game target a couple of times.

I seriously did not know the fuss w/ Tebow even last year.

Even comparing Tebow with Orton or QUinn wasn't right.
He is a good College Football QuarterBack like Troy Smith, Vincent Young, and Chad Henne.

Not a good NFL QB [yet].
    Agreed. Say Ryan Leaf anyone?

Running a football team based on public opinion, doesnt work. Look at every other orginization that tries, ie our government.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. The fact that the team even listened to the fans and acquiesced to their "demands" for Tebow was truly pathetic. I think everyone got to see the Tebow that Elway and company saw in practice that made him a 2nd or 3rd stringer and not the starter. Orton isn't a ball of fire and certainly won't run or scramble, but he will sit in the pocket and will take his 2nd and 3rd reads before throwing the ball away.

Tebow is a decent person, but for whatever reason, anyone who disagrees with his football ability is naturally attacked for attacking him and his spirituality personally. Separate the two. He is a positive role model in the community, but that doesn't equate with being a good football player anymore than being a bad guy equates with being a good football player.

On a side note: what kind of news story would that be if Tebow was found in a Colfax motel with an eightball of coke and two hookers!! Wow!

The funny part about the quotes from the Lions and their trash talking about how terrible Tebow is that the Lions haven't had anything close to a winning season in a decade...they have been the joke of the NFL for years. What was it, 2008 they went 0-16? The first team in history to do that!

    Short memories I guess...

so tebow get sacked 7 times, fumble the ball, and throws an interception, and he is just not getting the protection he needs, but when Orton get sacked 6 times, and loses a game he is a crappy QB,

I think you tebow fans need to apply the same litmus test to each player,

if we had a the rest of team firing on all cylinders I would go with the guy that averaged 257 yds a game the last two seasons. Oh by the way that was orton,

throwing 257 yds a game, combine that with a 60% completion rate, a good running game a decent defense and a decent OL and we have something don't we.

the QB is not the answer here. and keeping the best receiver in the NFl wouldn't have been bad idea either

Suck.....oh .....sorry, just saw the thread title! But seriously. Everyone seems to be dogging on Tebow! How about Cam Newton!? Rookie, many mistakes, but coming outta college with a national championship win, maybe Tebow needed the same!? Not saying either are throwing great but who still has the fire from college?? I freaking hate Newton cause he's a typical, nevermind. I think Tebow has a chance if they give him a chance, I mean more than a few games! But who am I to say, I'm born is wisco....GO PACKERS!!!

I Say we trade the entire team for a sno-cone, knock down the [Insert name of the week] stadium and build a dog park, cut our losses and root for a local high school team.

At least we wouldn't have to pay an outrageous ammount for tickets.

    Default I kid you not.

As an OSU being my 2nd favorite team (due to wife), I watched the Florida vs OSU game yrs back (forgot which yr it was now).

    I said to my self......

"Tebow and Smith will have a rough time in NFL"
Look at all their TDs on that game....

    One wrong I made was
IF Troy plays with Ginn JR, he might be an avg QB... BOY I WAS WRONG.
He was below avg even with Ginn JR.
    NFL sure ain't NCAA.
