Woo hoo! My armchair analyst time!
Tebow has been playing quarterback since he was 10. He's played enough to be at the peak of his performance, and frankly, he doesn't have what it takes to be a NFL quarterback, all positive niceness and leadership aside. His throwing technique caused a couple of those turnovers, due to him laying the ball too far back behind him and outward to throw, which was a fair game target a couple of times.
Agreed. Say Ryan Leaf anyone?
I agree with this wholeheartedly. The fact that the team even listened to the fans and acquiesced to their "demands" for Tebow was truly pathetic. I think everyone got to see the Tebow that Elway and company saw in practice that made him a 2nd or 3rd stringer and not the starter. Orton isn't a ball of fire and certainly won't run or scramble, but he will sit in the pocket and will take his 2nd and 3rd reads before throwing the ball away.
Tebow is a decent person, but for whatever reason, anyone who disagrees with his football ability is naturally attacked for attacking him and his spirituality personally. Separate the two. He is a positive role model in the community, but that doesn't equate with being a good football player anymore than being a bad guy equates with being a good football player.
On a side note: what kind of news story would that be if Tebow was found in a Colfax motel with an eightball of coke and two hookers!! Wow!
