    Default Homemade sling?

This pathetic forum needs a post already.

Has anybody seen a pattern for a sling for my new RRA?

Not really, but if you're interested I have a few spare M60 issue slings that I personally love. Long and have a nice pad to them. Been using one on my AR type weapons since I went to Haiti back in the early 90's.

$10 ea. and I'll even throw it in the washing machine and make it all perty

I'm in SE Denver, work over on the West side (6th and Simms/Union) or I can mail it to ya.

I was actually looking at making a kinda half ass CQC sling out of one of these and a regular issue sling.. might be a bit too much on the long side though. I'll let ya know if I get around to doing this. Also Marpat had a link for home made tac slings... looked kinda interesting, fairly sure it was over on ARFCOM. I'll get him to post it.

I have an old/new sling that I might be willing to part with.

If either of you can bring it to the shoot, that would be great.

    Thanks - 2C

I was thinking the same thing newracer

I made one and it works pretty well

There is one modification I need to do before I trust it in the field though

The short piece between the to loops slips on mine, I need to glue gun and sew it together

i have a modified version of the do it yourself sling from ARFCOM, with better mounting points for the rifle and quick disconnects, i like it more than any other store baught sling i have tried.

I tell you what, one of the big things that we learned at Appleseed was just how effective a good tight sling makes shooting. Amazing.

Just get a GI sling for 3 to 6 bucks and move on. :P
