Figures and I'm in the middle of rust bluing now-well actualy carding off my bolt and carrier.
Third cycle,its starting to get some decent color.I think one more coat should do it then off to oil and buff.

Are you doing a high polished blue like early DDR and polish? Must be working on your 72' akms


I am curious about rpk kits myself, I wouldn't mind picking up a barrel-less romy rpk and making an 8mm stretched rpk

When I get out there I'll probably break down and soda blast the park off the front end and rust blue the whole thing.I would do it here,but if I dont stay on top of it the rust buildup could pit it-out here you can hear stuff rust in the night!!!
At least out there its a slow moving process and I wont have to worry if i miss a night.

I am researching the costs to do that bullpup RPK. Saving money for the goodies. Maybe have the stuff by next build. If you guys need more room, I would be happy to have it at my shop.

i'll bring my torch, also i picked up the tools, i now have a brand new spot welder

ahhh yes the bullpup rpk sounds interesting (like i said i personally am not a bullpup fan but sounds neat either way)

by the way the guy i picked up the tooling from is the one who made the bending jig, he said he'll make a yugo inner die for me!!
