Many folks seem to agree that the 452 & 453 .22LRs tend to be a little bit more accurate though I am sure the 455 can't be far behind.
There are still plenty of 452's available new. Bud's Gun Shop has the 452 Varmint Thumbhole stock for around $400.
I decided to go with a 25MOA base from DIP, Inc but the offset rings will work just as well.
I have had several folks laugh at me when I have told them that I like to shoot groups with my .22LR out to 300 yds. It's actually very doable with good ammo.

At least with my scope. So I'm adding offset rings on top of it.
