I bought a new G22 shortly after my 21st. Paid $560 after tax for it. Put one box of ammo through it and ended up selling it after hitting some hard times financially. I took it back to Green Mountain and they offered to give me $275 to take it back. So I told them to pound sand and stopped at a few pawn shops. $275 was the most any of the shops offered me. I didn't know the private sale laws at the time so I sold it to about the 3rd shop I went to or so, for $275.

Whenever I see a Glock going for 4 or 450, I cry a bit inside.
Yeah from what I have seen people will buy them and try to sell them for more than they are new, I have never understood that.

That's because there are many folks out there who are incapable of passing a background check and are willing to pay a premium for a "paperless gun". By the same token there are plenty of unscrupulous gun owners who are willing to sell a pistol to a criminal as long as they can make all their money back (and then some).

I thought it was a surcharge for making sure it worked! Doesn't everyone pay extra to see if a Glock shoots? It's not like they have a reputation for reliability or anything...

That is bull crap, I wont even sell to this guy who is looking for a 25 ACP cause he only wants to do PP. He is probably okay but I do not want to take any chance of putting a gun into someones hands that cannot own one.

I sold an OD G20 not to long ago, that seems to be the only Glock I really would like to own again.

I personally wouldn't buy one if I saw it listed for $300.
