I would highly recommend citizen watches. They may not have altimeters and stuff but their eco drive watches are awesome and keeps times perfectly.
I don't even have a dumb phone ... and a wrist watch is hardly difficult to "lug around".
Even when I did carry a cell phone I found it much easier to rotate my left wrist about 30deg to the right and look at my watch instead of digging my phone out of my pocket and looking at it. Also I prefer a dial watch as it gives me more information than simply "it's 8:43"
I still don't get kids these days :-p![]()

A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
rich wyatt traded a watch for a gun on american guns--maybe you could work that angle
Citizens are nice. I have 2 of them, along with half a dozen others including some high dollar Swiss ones. In the field my Tissot usually gets the nod. You can find the on eBay for around $300.
<$100, tough, classy, impervious to EMP :P

I never thought I would wear a watch. I got one in December on my cruise now i can't go A day without it. Mines a citizen eco drive
I stopped wearing watches a few years ago due to being irritated with pulling out arm hair and interfering with typing. Now I'm back in a job where that kind of thing matters. Damnable expensive fashion statements. :P
