    Default Gilpin County Shooters

OK, I'm getting tired of the shit piling up at the popular shooting spot in Gilpin County. I've never seen it so bad this early.

Maybe it's because of Boulder County shutting down shooting at the site near Nederland and most of Boulder County (thanks again Boulder!) but this site is getting crapped up bad already and it's only mid-May.

Anyone interested in doing a clean-up, post here or PM me and I'll coordinate it. I might even provide a few beverages. Someone local who has a "free trash day token" at the Gilpin trash depot would be invaluable. I spent mine already. That way we could just load up a pickup with all of the trash and dump it all at once instead of filling garbage bags and paying $1 each. I don't have a pickup myself. Who's got one?

If you guys go to this site you know it's worth an afternoon of shooting, meeting guys on the forum and doing a little picking up. Who's in? Thanks!

Too bad I'm so far away in BoCo.

Anything going on during the week and I'd be able to help.

A serious THANK YOU to pickenup and electronman1729 for showing up to clean up my favorite shooting spot in Gilpin County! (Ah Pook - I'll be sure to schedule the next one mid-week!)

We did a bit of shooting, then got to work and had about 10 bags of trash when we were done, plus some other junk. A few big items had to be left due to vehicle limitations, but we made a HUGE dent in the place. Those items left will be removed next time.

I'd post a few pics, but photobucket appears to be all jacked up right now.

A good day of shooting, some BS'n, and hauled a BUNCH of trash off. Doesn't get much better than that.

Well, it would if people would haul their OWN trash off.

That looks like a cool spot.
