The fish in the pond will keep the mosquitos under control - they eat the larva. Ticks, you'll just have to get used to. The best natural suggestion I've seen for those is to keep nonvenomous snakes around. That will keep the rat/mouse population under control which will give the ticks fewer meals. Not to mention, king snakes will eat the rattlesnakes - twofer!
