I'm sort of new at 3 gun, but I shot highpower for years, and gave up due to illness and lack of interest after I made Master.

With respect to highpower, there were a few venues around the state where you could shoot if you wanted to. Colorado Rifle Club, the club at Bailey, were the only two full length courses, as I recollect.

3 gun matches are a lot of fun, but with your mobility issues it might not be so much fun for you. If you approach it as another "range day" where safety is first and you meet a whole lot of really nice people, and do only what you know you can do regardless of the effects on your score, you will have a whole lot of fun with it. :P As an added bonus you will learn what you and your rifle are capable of with a little practice.

Pueblo shoots a rifle only match which I have yet to attend, but it sounds like a whole lot of fun. Your AR15 would likely do very well in such a sport, as so far at least, that is the only rifle I've seen run at one of these matches other than my PTR 91. I guess it is the benchmark, and so you are lucky you are ready to go!

Aurora is the only place I've actually shot 3 gun, which involves a shotgun, rifle, and pistol. It too is a whole lot of fun, and the people there are very pleasant. It is shot at Aurora Gun Club. I hope to return there again one day to shoot once more.

I am willing to hang with you and teach you the little I know of the sport, should you desire it.

Regards,
Stubb
