I thought about the possibility of "adopting a shooting area" or two

Kind of like they do with sections of highway

If groups COMMITED to regular clean up it might take a little of the heat off

I would like to see the Forrest Service issue tickets for people dumping illeagaly. If they hand out enough tickets word will get around to pick up, or be fined. Revenue from those could be used to pay for clean up costs. Volunteering for cleanups is only part, the roll away dumpsters and forrest service vehicles cost money that they would rather not appropriate.

Please keep us posted on clean ups. I always volunteer my time for the Rampart range clean ups.

I hope none of you take this wrong but here is an idea. To start I don't want the Gov. taking my picture anymore than any of you guys do. It would be a temporary deal with the USFS or even the Sheriffs Dept. They could set up a camera and catch some of these dirt bags. Or even someone from the club could set up something and turn it in.

We had some problems up here with poachers and such and thats how they were caught.

It may take something drastic like this to put some of these slobs out of business.

Either that or lose more places to shoot. We've lost several places to shoot up here because of the slobs.

I nominate 7idl to do recon at our shoot locations using a ghillie suit and long range video camera and then busting the perps in the style of the show "Cheaters"

...didn't that dude get stabbed in one episode?

I deflect my nomination to Karl, who's more into bustin' perps than I am. [pirate]

How about a sign that we put up after one of the club shoots that says something like

"We were here and cleaned up when we left. No thanks are required - we like to do our part to keep the site clean. (our logo)"

The idea is we're advertising that we did our part and subtly giving the hint to have whoever benefits from the clean site to do the same.
