Avoid Kay and Jarrod (which are both the same company) as they're virulently anti gun.

That and their prices and selection suck.

You need to find a small independent jeweler that 1) knows his stuff and 2) isn't a thief. That's actually harder than finding a mechanic that is both of those.

I haven't heard bad things about Luisa Graff (but her commercials creep me out).

There are a couple small jewelers in Old Colorado City that may not suck (but again we don't have first hand experience with any of them ... there was a little jewelry shop down there that my wife got what we believe to be a good deal on a ring, but they're gone now)

I will offer you this: A good friend of mine is a jewelry. I bought my wife's engagement/wedding set from him 17 years ago and I have been buying since. The only problem is that he is in KY. PM me if you are interested.

Luisa Graff is decent. Local girl and the prices aren't too bad - they seem fair for what you're getting.

I go to trice jewlers, cause I know the owner. I get a good deal but trust me they are still making a 100% off me. I think they say there is like a 300% mark up.

I went to Shane Co. and I did not see any No carry signs where some places do, So they got my money. And they stand behind there work no extra$$ for cleanings or repairs.

all jewelry stores have lots of mark up. if you want no mark up visit pawn shops. shane company has the best selection and doesnt carry all the same rings as the other shops. plus they aren't paid commission so they are enjoyable to visit.

    avoid kay, jarrod. morons

More of a metal work store that will custom design anything you want. If you are not satisfied they will scrap it and start over at no extra cost. I designed my girls wedding ring from there and they were very helpful and extremely patient and friendly. My sister's wedding ring was also designed and created there. Although, the store is located in Fort Collins, couldn't hurt to give them a ring and see what they can do for you.
