Most metallic lead deposits associated with rimfire cartridges are actually aggregates of wax/lube with lead. Solvents like B12 Chemtool can have an effect on the wax. Have one of those jet lighters? Alternatively, can you mash the ball into the exit hole and drill chunks out?
9mm - because they don't make a 9.1mm
Ok the forums were not working with my kindle for some reason..... so I was on my own
Yes I was shooting 22lr for the record I'm cheap when it comes to ammo and saved 1/2c a round going with cci blazer lead bullet instead of Winchester 555 copper plated I never had this problem with any copper plated stuff and I'm up over 50k with this upper.
How I fixed it.....took a very tiny punch and chipped the cannon ball into tiny pieces and shook em out the barrel it took a long time ....I'm gonna just dip the muzzle brake in mobile 1 before I shoot next time I have like 1500 rounds left....
I only put 1000 rounds of this stuff down the pipe before it leaded up like that....had over 2 bullets worth of lead in the brake
Are you sure it wasn't a squib round that barely made it out of the barrel or was pushed out by the next round ?
That much leading and turning into a ball lodged in the muzzle brake is very suspicious.
no im not id like to think id feel a squib but maybe i didnt hundreds and hundreds of rounds of .22lr blend together....lol
this started as tons of lead around the inside of the brake and turned into a cannon ball by me fucking with it![]()
i will say the last time i went shooting before this by the end of the session the .22 was shooting about 4 feet to the left then the first round(.223) i shot this session has a cloud of lead out the front and everyone could smell lead.....the rifle short stroked....then chugged through 500 or so rounds of .223.... i clean my rifle after every day of shooting but i dont think ive ever cleaned my brake before
