    Default New AR Piston Build

Ok, so here is my build:
Spike's Tactical Lower (Multi) Forged Spider Stripped
CMMG AR-15/M16 GAS PISTON CONVERSION KIT
DPMS Buttstock Assembly 6-Position Commercial Diameter Collapsible AR-15 Carbine Synthetic Black
DPMS Lower Receiver Parts Kit AR-15

16" M4 5.45x39 barrel. 4140 chrome moly, M4 feed ramps, gas port is drilled, mil-spec parkerizing finish,1:9 twist, standard AR-15 barrel threading. Mfg in the USA.
Milspec forged aluminum complete upper receiver (includes forward assist & dust cover assembly installed). Keyhole forge marking. Has M4 feed cuts. A3 Flattop. Milspec anodizing. Manufactured in the USA by LAR Mfg.

So I assembled it yesterday and headed to the range for some testing. I wanted to go with the gas piston for all the various reasons that they provide. I must say I was impressed with it and it performed as expected. I put about 120 rounds through it and when my case of a thousand comes in I will put another 100, then do a torture test on it. I watched videos of people doing these and I want to see if it holds up and performs flawless as they say it will. I will also change out the hand grips for a quad rail here in the next week or so...

Sounds like a good unit. I'd like to check out a cmmg setup. I'm running the Adams Arms one. if the cmmg is 1/2 as good as tha AA you will enjoy it the more rounds fired.

I was gonna go with the AA but got the CMMG one on sale. Supposed to be version 2 or 3, I read the 1st wasn't that good..... Flawless operation yesterday!

    I am happy!
