    Default Found Them!!!

So, when we moved to the taint, sorry, Trinidad.... we boxed stuff in a hurry and just took off. This lead to a few missing items that we have never been able to find to this day. The few I remember were my knifes, my Rolex, our TV remote, a couple pairs of pants I liked, our laptops original power adapter, and other odds and ends. This goes beyond the misplacing things randomly. So anyway, today I was looking for one of my tools so I can start punching holes in my new holster to stitch it together, when I randomly came across my knifes! I had been looking for these since we got here! They were hanging on a wall in the basement, I just happened to glance over at the bag they were in and saw the end of one of the lanyard loops hanging out slightly. I don't know how I missed them this whole time, but damn!...

So what have some of you misplaced, wrote off, and then found?

When I was leaving Asskrackistan back in December, I was flying out of Kandahar. We had to go through security, just like at an American airport and the guys working the security checkpoint (can't remember if they were Army or AF) told us we couldn't have any ammo (duh!) or anything with a blade on our persons or on our kits. So I put my Benchmade and Gerber multitool in one of my bags and sent them through the x-ray machine. At this point, you're separated from your bags, so I had no control over them, I couldn't even see the guys who were doing the x-rays. Anyways, when I got home I couldn't find either the Benchmade or the Gerber, and was sure that those SOBs at Kandahar stole my stuff. I was pissed. I love that Benchmade knife. Anyways, a few months later when I was finally finishing putting the rest of my deployment gear away, I found my stuff in my sleeping bag stuff sack. I had no idea that was where I put it. So my apologies to the guys working security at Kandahar, and I'm glad I didn't spend the money on a new Benchmade!

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Misplaced and re-found more things than I care to think about, actually. Gets worse as you get older. But the "WOOHOO! There it is!" feeling never gets old.

I misplaced my 4" Colt Match Target for about 7 months. Finally, my friend who is a gunsmith asked if I was ever going to pick it back up or if it was a new toy for him.
