Damn Ducky, I'm very sorry to hear that. If you can't afford an electric home security system, might consider getting a very large dog. I have one large dog and a second one on his way to getting big. Not to mention dogs are just plain awesome friends. I truly hope they find the bastiches that broke in. God Bless.

Sympothies man, it sucks now your going to be paranoid everytime you leave the house.

A lot of times they scout out areas before robbing you and/or pretend to be salesman to peek inside. Haven't had any suspicious activity lately?

Had someone break in to my JEEP a year ago (not the same as your house but still personal sanctuary) which was parked in front of the busiest entrance at my work. Stole everything including my sunflower seeds and 12 pack of Pepsi. Your anger will get worse before better as you feel violated and just want to find them and beat them to death. Just hope they catch them man.

My case the police wouldn't even come to my location had to go "online" and fill out a report...... Never heard anything.

I like this line of thinking. I read "somewhere" recently that stealing someones firewood was a SEVERE offense back in the day just for this reason. Steal a man's means of heating/cooking for his family and they would be in a world of hurt. The penalty was SEVERE. Therefore, it didn't happen much. Imagine that?

    Not so much these days.

Crap duck-Sorry to hear that .
Offer up a reward, might help track the stuff.
I think if they took the bullet proof vest they can be held on felony charges since it was in the crime.

What part of Arapahoe do you live in? Burgs often come in waves and perhaps the other members here can be cautious as well. Sorry for the incident , i hate the feelings of violation that comes with this.

Regardless of what was taken it is a burglary which is a felony. They entered the house to commit a crime. I have seen kids break into places and just steal candy and they have faced felony charges.
