U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

Old news or not we need to pay attention to this.
There are 3 UN treaties that will be coming up for scrutiny and possibly votes within the next month or so.
1- 21- Law of the Sea
2- 4 - Childrens Rights (attached to Human Rights)
3- 26- Small Arms Trade.

You need to do some homework on these. All have VERY detrimental effects to US sovergnty (sp).

If a treaty is ratified by our Congress it is irrevocable.

No, not really. No treaty or agreement can override the US Constitution. Congress with ratification by the States can add, amend, or remove an amendment. I.e. Prohibition.

It takes 2/3 of the Senate to approve a Treaty. That's 66 or 67 votes. Pray that we kick some ass in November so this can't happen.
